Yes, and only those of us with more than two brain cells to rub together understand that since these are North American numbers only they actually don't mean a whole lot. Until we have world wide numbers, these numbers simply get used by the Xbox fanboys to bolster their silly attitude and misguided thoughts that Sony is not doing well. Those of us, you included, know that Sony is doing great and keeping with their plan for steady growth and for them to sell 10 million consoles per year at th...

They lost a sale with me. The Demo looked like arse and was pretty sad if you ask me.

Forget that Killzone 2 was released only 2 days prior February's close? I thought so. The PS3 does not need saving so please stop with the Greenturd rhetoric. If you are not receiving a paycheck from MS then stop with the FUD.

It amazes me how each of the 360 fans forget that:

1) the PS3 is twice the price of the 360
2) the PS3 sales are actually tracking as well if not better than the 360 sales day and date in lifetime sales
3) that console sales do not...

Please tell me you truly do not think that a games primary sales depend on day one... Please tell me.

Typically speaking, a game that is as good as the likes of GTAIV or Halo 3 or even Killzone 2, sales spike at the beginning and then go on to sell much more as time passes. It's not the other way around.

Does it really feel good to rub it in the faces of Sony Fanboys? Becoming a fanboy yourself to do so? If so then you need to get out more often and experience the real world my friend. The same folks that said Killzone 2 would demolish anything Xbox 360 in terms of sales were nothing more than fanboys and to become a person who enjoys wasting your time bashing them... Well, that speaks much of your own fanboyisms.

The truth here is that Killzone 2 was recorded in sales for onl...

Shows the positive side of the sales shown for February. With all the slamming that MS has done in the past 24 hours it's nice to see that some journalists see how well Sony is doing with its current price point, todays economy and the line of games it has. In the end, the Sony PS3 is tracking well and steadily increasing in sales despite being the more expensive console. In todays economy, anything that is the more expensive unit and gaining in sales should be commended, not condemned.

This article is spot on and it is a true showing of how the 360 fans have hit a lower than expected rep of stupidity. Sorry, I am a fan of both systems but if I were to even consider myself a fan of only the 360, the past two days of their idiocy would have had me denying I even owned a 360. Sorry, but to deny the strides Sony is making and how they help the industry strive all for the sake of bolstering the 360 is pathetic. MS and the 360 fanboys need to talk about the 360 and what it is bri...

That logical talk of yours be damned!

/sarcasm

In all honesty, this is Kotaku here. And we all know what FUD they love to spread about the PS3. Heck, they act as though they were spreading fud like a monkey slings his poo. What a bunch of douche bags they are.

Wouldn't the list be a better showing of the systems 2009 line if the games they mentioned were exclusives? That list is kind of sad actually... For MS that is.

The only region he has anything to talk about is North America. Granted, they may be the larger piece of the pie but they are not the majority of the pie. He talks smack because that is what he is paid to do so. Keep it up MS, you're starting to look like the Sony we all came to harbor disdain for and in their arrogance they soon came to realize that it is us gamers that pay your paychecks. Become more of a douche bag and you will feel the same pushback that Sony received when they came out o...

Considering it was out for only two days and sold nearly 400,000 copies, that is pretty good. Also, looking at the PS3 and how it is twice the price of the 360 and was only outsold by a tad over 100k is saying that folks are getting on the band wagon. Looks good for the industry as a whole. Also, looking at the street fighter titile, it's almost a draw and knowing that the 360 has what... double the install base in the US... Now that says something all in itself.

Good on both ...

If they make any improvements to the series in terms of graphics and game play then they are improving on a near perfect game and making frickin' amazing. From the shots, this game is going to give us all game-gasms.

Sigma was released when the PS3 only had an install base of about 8 million and sold nearly a half million copies. Ninja Gaiden 2 was released when the 360 had an install base of 20 million and sold one million. If you simply take that into acount, I would say that Sigma sold well. If anything, Ninja Gaiden 2 failed to live up to the hype and should have sold at least two or three million...

Yeah, DOA does suck but NG "was" great before NG2 came out. Not that I hated it but it was just not of the same caliber as the first.

Knew well in advance that the console war is a long distance race and that Sony typically has what it takes to run the full race through to the end. Game sales like this show a steady pace and a steady pace in any race is the healthy way to run. Shooting out of the gate will only tire the competitors more quickly.

I love each of the gaming consoles but get a chuckle at the ignorance some folks shared with us when they bashed Sony and even reported that they should go back to th...

Of the same folks that were in support of HD-DVD when BD won the format war... They all had something negative to say about BD but really no substance to back up the negativity. In the end, Killzone 2 lives up to the hype and is a great game. People who bashed the game prior to launch are just upset that their dreams of seeing the game fail were dashed when it continued to receive great scores from reviewers around the world. Let it go you bitter idiots!

And I thought that before I knew they were an MS butt-toy. Anywho, the PS3 was worth it's price when I paid 600 for it and today it is even better than it was when I bought it at launch. So yeah, it's value argument holds up. Heck, at least it's a reliable console and that in itself these days makes the price worth it.

A waggle controller does not make a game console next gen. Processing power does and any peripherals that come with it are just extras. That being said, the Wii will have to surpass the PS2 to become the market leader of last generation. As for this gen, it is not even on my charts in terms of gaming devices. It's just been too big a let-down these last few months.
